Units that can be packaged into this skill set include:

  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTCAR001 Perform Electrocardiography (ECG)
  • HLTHPS009 Perform Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation
  • Plus varying CPD opportunities.

To enrol in this course, participants must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Active employment in a clinical setting to allow for contextualisation of learning and workplace-based assessment
  • Access to a qualified clinical supervisor or workplace mentor who can oversee practical activities and sign off on competency where required
  • Basic computer literacy and reliable internet access to complete eLearning modules and online assessments
  • Working knowledge of infection control, manual handling, and basic life support. These may be refreshed or built upon within the course depending on the units included

Units of competency are tailored to reflect your clinical environment, whether in aged care, acute care, community health, or other healthcare settings. This ensures your learning is nationally recognised, practical, and meaningful within your current scope of practice.
