To enrol in this course, participants must meet the following prerequisites:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Endorsed Nurse
Active employment in a clinical setting, to allow for contextualisation of learning and workplace-based assessment
Access to a qualified clinical supervisor or workplace mentor, who can oversee practical activities and sign off on competency where required
Basic computer literacy and internet access to complete eLearning modules and online assessments
Working knowledge of infection control, manual handling, and basic life support (these may be refreshed or built upon within the course depending on the units included)
If you have relevant nursing experience or qualifications, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

The duration of the course varies depending on your study mode and individual learning pace.
