Our story began in 1997, when Defence Maritime Services was founded as a joint venture between P&O Maritime Services and Serco to deliver vital support services to the Royal Australian Navy. In 2001, we became a Registered Training Organisation under DMS Maritime (RTO 90694), and since then, we have remained proudly registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the national regulator. In 2012, Serco took full ownership, and over the past decade, we have evolved into an industry-leading training institution. While our foundations are in maritime training, we have expanded our services to meet industry demand and stakeholder needs across the Community Services, Defence, Health and Justice sectors.
